The Board of Directors of Nauti-Craft Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that it will appoint Mr. Mark Schiller as its executive director and Managing Director effective July 1st, 2020.
Mark is currently a Non-executive Director of the Company.
Mark has been involved in the marine and specifically the boat building industry for most of his career spanning more than 30 years.
In his most recent appointment, Mark was General Manager – Sales for Austal, the world’s largest aluminium shipbuilder and a significant defence contractor in Australia and USA.
Previously and for the main part of his career Mark was Managing Director of ship builder Strategic Marine, from the formation of the company where he led the day to day business activity for 17 years and developed operations in Australia, Singapore and Vietnam with customers worldwide. He has been involved in a number of highly technical projects including building some of the most advanced small high-speed patrol vessels in the world.
He has been a keen advocate of the Nauti Craft technology since first learning about it in 2015.
Mark has a comprehensive understanding and proven track record of end to end processes of business management and his experience in taking newly developed products to market is well recognised in the industry.
Mark is taking over the MD role from Ken Johnsen, who will continue with Nauti-Craft, concentrating on commercial matters as the Commercial Director. The Board thanks Ken for his leadership during his role as MD and looks forward working with him in his new capacity.
Mark’s arrival as MD marks the transition of Nauti-Craft from an R&D focused organisation to a production and sales driven company. The Board wishes Mark every success in his new executive role.
